Sri Lanka, March 24 -- The Acting High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Sri Lanka Zunaira Latif expressed how Sri Lanka and Pakistan continue to maintain traditionally close and mutually beneficial relations based on respect and trust.

'The strength of the Pakistan - Sri Lanka relationship lies in diversified engagement in many fields such as trade, defence, science, culture, and education,' she said during a ceremony at the High Commission on March 23 to mark the country's 86th National Day. 'His Excellency extends sincere greetings and best wishes on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan to the Government and people of Sri Lanka,' she said.
