Sri Lanka, July 1 -- The Trade Ministry has announced guaranteed purchasing prices for paddy during the Yala season. Accordingly, paddy will be purchased at a price of Rs.120 per kilogramme for Nadu, Rs.130 per kilogramme for Samba, and Rs.140 per kilogramme for Keeri Samba. Also, a programme has been launched to swiftly release the existing rice stocks to consumers.
