Sri Lanka, June 22 -- Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Liyanage, stated that among the 225,748 students who passed the 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, there are 11,790 students who obtained 'A' passes for all nine subjects.

She also mentioned that 73.16% of the total applicants have qualified for the Advanced Level (A/L) Examination this time. The examination was conducted at 3,547 centers, and she stated that a total of 451,719 candidates had applied, consisting of 382,480 school applicants and 69,239 private applicants. Out of these, a total of 405,015 candidates actually sat for the examination, comprising 359,883 school applicants and 45,132 private applicants, she said.
