Organised crime, underworld activities under control - Police
Sri Lanka, June 12 -- Sri Lanka Police have successfully brought organised crime and underworld activities under control compared to previous years, Crime Division Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Chandana Kodituwakku said. Speaking at a special media briefing held at the Government Information Department auditorium on Thursday (11), he said a combination of targeted Police operations and public cooperation had contributed significantly to the decline in crimes across the country.
