Sri Lanka, Jan. 10 -- Leader of the House and Minister Bimal Ratnayake told Parliament yesterday the Opposition while proposing to bring the PSC on judicial officer appointments is actually seeking to scuttle ongoing investigations into many Opposition members and politicians.

The law enforcement agencies such as the judiciary, Police and the CIABOC are now investigating various murders, crimes, corruption and frauds that have occurred over the past 20 years, so they are trying to stop them by bringing such proposals.
