Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Arusha Cooray said the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the person had suffered minor injuries. She said embassy officials will be sent to meet the injured Sri Lankan.
She also said embassy officials were constantly monitoring any issues related to other Sri Lankans in the UAE.
Quoting details from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs she said that 58 foreigners, including the Sri Lankan, suffered injuries in the attacks and three people have lost their lives. The deceased have been identified as Pakistani, Nepalese and Bangladeshi nationals.
