Srilanka, Oct. 11 -- Horton Plains National Park Warden Sisira Ratnayake has urged visitors coming to witness the rare Nelu bloom to strictly follow the park's rules and regulations.
He said that, for the first time in 12 years, four species of Nelu flowers have bloomed together, attracting large crowds and heavy traffic to the park, especially on weekends and public holidays.
Ratnayake noted that while many visitors have behaved responsibly, some groups have acted in violation of park regulations, and steps have been taken to enforce the law against such individuals.
He emphasized that the Nelu bloom is a rare and delicate natural event, and protecting it is a shared responsibility of all visitors.
