Sri Lanka, Oct. 21 -- The National Lotteries Board (NLB) has issued a strong warning to the public about a large-scale online fraud misusing its official logo, photographs, and prize distribution videos.

Authorities report that an organized group has created fake online casinos and fraudulent Facebook pages, targeting social media users, particularly on Facebook, while misleading the public by impersonating the NLB.

The NLB emphasized that it does not operate any online casino or cash prize programs through social media. All official lottery draws are broadcast live daily at 9:30 PM on the Independent Television Network (ITN). Re-broadcasts are available only on the official NLB Facebook page and the ITN YouTube channel.
