Sri Lanka, March 19 -- The Ministry of Digital Economy has announced that a new feature has been added to the vehicle fuel QR code system starting today (March 19), aimed at resolving difficulties faced by the public when obtaining QR codes for previously registered vehicles, especially when the original mobile phone number is no longer active.

"The new feature allows vehicle owners to verify their vehicles using the correct vehicle and chassis numbers, cancel existing registrations, and re-register under their current phone numbers," the Ministry said.

Previously, users who changed their phone numbers or purchased second-hand vehicles often faced obstacles in removing old registrations and re-registering. With the new update:
