SriLanka, Sept. 22 -- Around 43 percent of Sri Lanka's young people with post-secondary education are unemployed, according to a recent article published by the IMF. Titled 'Graduating into Uncertainty', the piece highlights the struggle of graduates who cannot find work that matches their qualifications, and notes that about 1.2 billion people will join the labour market in developing economies over the next decade.

The article pointed out that Sri Lanka's rate sits at the top of a South Asian range that starts at about 36 percent in Bangladesh.
