Sri Lanka, Oct. 13 -- The Nawalapitiya Magistrate's Court released four individuals on personal bail of Rs.100,000 each, following an investigation into an assault triggered by a road traffic accident near the residence of Nawalapitiya Urban Council Chairman Amal Priyankara.

Those granted bail include the Urban Council Chairman Amal Priyankara who represents the Independent Group, his son, his son-in-law, and an Assistant Estate Superintendent from the Imbulpitiya Estate in Nawalapitiya who was driving the motorcycle involved in the crash.
