Sri Lanka, Oct. 13 -- In a significant initiative to enhance safety and well-being at sea, the Navy, in partnership with the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Department, conducted a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) training programme recently at the Valaichenai Fisheries Harbour.

The programme was organised by the Eastern Naval Command Hospital as part of the Navy's ongoing social responsibility mission. The training focused on delivering knowledge of first aid and practical skills to effectively manage medical emergencies while at sea.
