Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- In an coordinated operation, the Sri Lanka Navy rendered assistance to bring ashore a fisherman with leg injuries and rushed him for medical attention yesterday (18). The fisherman had encounter this incident while engaging in fishing at sea about 183 nautical miles (338 km) South of Galle.

The emergency unfolded aboard the multi-day fishing trawler, which had departed from Kudawella Fisheries Harbour on September 4 with a crew of six. While engaging in fishing at sea, one of the fishermen aboard had sustained severe leg injuries, requiring immediate medical attention.
