Sri Lanka, April 7 -- The official establishment of the National Scout Youth Council recently marked a significant step forward to strengthen youth leadership and youth empowerment within the scout movement and a first in the history of the Sri Lanka Scout Association.South Asians & Diaspora

The newly formed council consists of 100 scout and rover scout representatives-both male and female-from all the island's districts.

The primary objective of the council is to elevate young leaders to a national platform, enabling them to actively contribute their ideas and proposals to develop the scout movement in Sri Lanka. It also aims to lay a strong foundation to nurture the next generation of leaders within the organisation.
