Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- SLPP Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa accused the Government of making false promises to Sri Lanka's younger generation and subsequently taking measures that, he claimed, had undermined their hopes.Follow Federal Policy
Addressing a Divisional meeting in Jandure, Angunakolapelessa, Rajapaksa said young people had approached the Government expecting employment opportunities and affordable vehicles but had instead faced disappointment.
"They gave false hopes to the younger generation. They not only gave false hopes, but also took steps to destroy all those hopes after coming to power," he said.
He claimed that even graduates seeking employment had faced difficulties when approaching the authorities.
