Sri Lanka, July 28 -- The Chinese national who was abducted and murdered in the Port City has been identified as a person who allegedly made money illegally by committing computer fraud, Colombo District DIG Nishantha de Zoysa stated.

Addressing a special Police press briefing held yesterday (27) to clarify the truth of the news circulating on social media regarding several incidents that occurred in Colombo and the Western Province in the past few days, he said that an investigation is underway regarding the incident, adding that two suspects identified as Chinese nationals who attempted to flee the country within a few hours of the incident, were arrested and that they have now been confirmed as the main suspects in the incident.
