Sri Lanka, July 15 -- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka (CCI) and Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited (SCCCL) for the training of Masonry Craftsmen on July13 in Colombo.

Here SCCCL will sponsor to certify 100 tradesmen of mason's category providing the necessary facilities, with HWK Crafts Chamber of Germany partnering by funding the programme where the statutory fees that are mandatorily paid to the assessors, borne by them.

The CCI will facilitate, bringing the industry stakeholders and the government assessors, together at one location, for practical assessments to qualify them for the NVQ certificate. The three-year programme will cover the whole country not only fo...
