Sri Lanka, July 21 -- Sri Lanka's newest ride-hailing and lifestyle platform, Miwayz, has launched its operations, claiming to have attracted more than 25,000 pre-registered passengers and drivers ahead of its commercial debut.

The company said the platform, which went live on July 12, aims to reshape the country's urban mobility sector through a driver-focused business model, transparent pricing and strategic partnerships with leading corporate partners.

Miwayz Chief Executive Officer Nalliah Thayaparan said the strong response before the official launch demonstrated growing demand for an alternative mobility platform.
