Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government Minister Professor Chandana Abeyratne expressed optimism that the concerns of the Grama Niladharis can be resolved amicably.
He stated that the Government will intervene in addressing their issues."We recognise that there is a problem, and we will intervene with the aim of resolving this matter," Prof. Abeyratne remarked. Prof.Abeyratne told the Daily News that a meeting with representatives of the Grama Niladharis Association took place at the Ministry level yesterday, and the discussion concluded positively. "There is a potential to resolve this issue amicably and I hope that the association will inform their members accordingly "
