Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- Energy Minister and Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Anura Karunathilake participated in the Seventh CII International Energy Conference and Exhibition (IECE) 2026 held in New Delhi recently.

The conference, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), brought together policymakers, industry leaders, investors and experts to discuss energy security, the energy transition, renewable energy, technology, manufacturing and the development of resilient energy systems.

The Minister delivered an address on 'Beyond Borders: The Future of Shared Energy Systems', focusing on cross-border energy co-operation, interconnected grids, strategic reserves, financing, regulation and regional energy security.
