Sri Lanka, Aug. 21 -- Deputy Economic Development Minister Anil Jayantha Fernando today (21) told Parliament that the recent detention of Chinese-made BYD electric vehicles by Sri Lanka Customs has been resolved following discussions with the court.

Minister Fernando said Customs acted according to the law, but differences between the importers and Customs led the matter to be presented in court. "We expect to discuss the solution further based on the court's response," he added.
