Sri Lanka, July 27 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has instructed authorities to draw up a programme to allocate underutilised land to Sri Lankan migrant workers returning home after completing their overseas employment.
He said the land should be equipped with the necessary project support services.
The President issued these instructions during a discussion on Friday (24) at the Presidential Secretariat to review the progress of projects implemented under the 2026 budget allocations for the Plantation and Community Infrastructure Ministry, and to consider the Ministry's proposals for the 2027 Budget.
