Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- Transport and Highways Deputy Minister Dr.Prasanna Gunasena said that the Metro Urban Luxury Transport service will be introduced to Kandy from next year.

A metro bus was run in Kandy yesterday (15) to prepare preliminary plans for this. Deputy Minister Gunasena also said that during this test run, special attention was paid to identifying the most suitable routes for the bus service, determining the technical specifications of the required buses and evaluating the locations where bus stops could be established.
