Sri Lanka, Oct. 5 -- A special religious ceremony was held at the Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo to commemorate those who lost their lives in the recent natural disaster in Nepal and to transfer Merit to them.

During the event, Buddhist religious observances were conducted to transfer Merit to the deceased and to invoke blessings upon those affected by the disaster. Nepal has experienced a series of natural disasters on several occasions in recent times, leaving many people affected.
