Sri Lanka, Feb. 25 -- MAS Holdings announced that the company's strategic decision to cease garment manufacturing operations at its Methliya facility in Thulhiriya is part of a broader effort to re-position the business in response to the prolonged contraction in global apparel demand and evolving market conditions. The company said that all 2,200 Methliya employees were offered jobs and transfers to another MAS plant, locally or in Jordan, and such employees were offered a three month salary incentive for relocation.
