Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- Former Labour and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara has arrived at the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) today (20) to give a statement in connection with an ongoing investigation into his assets.
The inquiry is being conducted under the Money Laundering Prevention (Amendment) Act, following a complaint that the former minister had illegally acquired assets during his tenure.
The complaint was lodged by the Chairman of the Citizens' Force Against Corruption and Misuse, alleging illicit enrichment and corruption.
