Sri Lanka, July 7 -- Construction of the 50 MW Mannar Wind Farm is progressing rapidly, marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka's transition towards renewable energy and lower electricity generation costs.

The project, which commenced construction in January, has entered a key phase with the arrival of its wind turbines. While the first batch of turbines reached the island several weeks ago, the remaining equipment has now arrived at the Port of Trincomalee and is currently being unloaded.
