SriLanka, Sept. 21 -- Anguruwatota Police state that a younger brother stabbed and killed his intoxicated brother with a sharp cleavage knife (manna knife) to save their mother from being assaulted at a house in Balasuriya Mawatha, Pethigamu Kanda area, Haltota on Friday(18) night.
The deceased has been identified as Wadduwage Dilanka Danushka, a 38-year-old father of one. The body of the murdered man was found fallen near the door of the front room of the house where the incident took place. The 34-year-old suspect - a younger brother and a father of two - informed the Police about the murder via a telephone call that same night, after which he was arrested by the Anguruwatota Police during the night.
