Bangladesh, Sept. 25 -- A man has been killed in an accident involving a motorcycle, a truck, and a covered van in Dhaka's Karwan Bazar.

The accident occurred on Wednesday night, said Mobarak Hossain, chief of Tejgaon Police Station.

The truck was travelling from the Bangla Motor area towards Farmgate when it was rammed from behind by a covered van, he said.

"As a result, 26-year-old motorcycle driver Lutfur Rahman Raiyan was killed. His friend Atiqul Islam, who was seated behind him, was injured."

Raiyan's cousin Shahidur Rahman said that Raiyan had come to Dhaka from Netrokona a few days ago to visit his aunt's house.
