Sri Lanka, March 11 -- The Department of Meteorology says a few showers are likely in the Northern and Eastern provinces today(11).

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa Province, Southern Province and Uva Province, as well as in the Kandy District and Nuwara Eliya District during the evening or night.

Mainly dry weather is expected to prevail in other parts of the island.

Meanwhile, misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western Province, Central Province, Sabaragamuwa Province and Uva Province, and in the Galle District and Matara District during the early hours of the morning.
