Sri Lanka, Aug. 21 -- South Africa's spinner Keshav Maharaj has reclaimed the No.1 spot in the ICC Men's ODI bowler rankings, displacing Sri Lanka's Maheesh Theekshana, according to the latest update on August 19.

Maharaj earned the top position after taking his maiden ODI five-wicket haul against Australia in Cairns on Tuesday, finishing with impressive figures of 5/33. His performance helped South Africa secure a 98-run victory.

The 35-year-old left-armer gained two ranking places, moving ahead of Theekshana, who is now second, and India's Kuldeep Yadav in third place. Maharaj first achieved the No.1 ODI bowler ranking in November 2023 during the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.
