Sri Lanka, Feb. 26 -- Sri Lanka's country-code domain administrator, the LK Domain Registry, has entered into a strategic partnership with Norway-based cybersecurity firm to strengthen monitoring and protection of the .LK namespace amid rising online threats.
The move comes as internet usage in Sri Lanka continues to expand, accompanied by a growing number of fake banking websites, fraudulent online stores, phishing emails and malware attacks. Such activities not only mislead users and compromise personal data but also damage the reputation of legitimate businesses operating online. Against this backdrop, safeguarding the credibility and reliability of the .LK digital space has become a national priority.
