Sri Lanka, Aug. 9 -- Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle and Matara districts.

Mainly fair weather will prevail in the other areas of the island.
