Sri Lanka, July 27 -- Sri Lanka's inflation accelerated further in June while key lending rates also moved higher during the week ending July 24, reflecting evolving price and monetary conditions, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka's latest Weekly Economic Indicators.
The National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) based headline inflation increased to 6.5% in June 2026, up from 5.4% in May. Food inflation rose to 3.3% from 0.9%, while non-food inflation climbed to 9.3% from 8.2%. The Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) based headline inflation also accelerated to 5% in June from 4.5% in May.
