Sri Lanka, Oct. 14 -- Sri Lankan women's table tennis team led by Bimandee Bandara performed well to defeat Macau China 3-1 in the ITTF Asian Team Championship yesterday at Bhubaneswar, India. This victory allowed Sri Lanka to secure a place among first 12 to get qualification for the next year's World Championship in England.
Thamadi Kavindya won a hard fought battle over Macau opponent Seak Hui Li in first game, but finally Seak won 3-2. However skipper Bimandee Bandara continued her form in the second singles defeating Huang Cheng Leng with 3-1 lead and equaled the game 1-1.
