Sri Lanka, June 10 -- Sri Lanka has once again earned international recognition as its national chemistry team secured three bronze medals at the 60th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad (IMChO), held at Moscow State University from April 15-22. This remarkable achievement highlights the growing strength of the country's young scientific talent on the global stage.

The Sri Lankan team, guided by team mentor Prof. Laksiri Weerasinghe, consisted of four dedicated students: Himaru Abeygunarathne (Trinity College, Kandy), Ravindu Bandara Ranathunga (Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala), Geethilihansa Ganaewaththage Don (Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo) and Niththilan Pirabakaran (Kilinochchi Central College).
