Sri Lanka, June 17 -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, together with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), launched a new mobile application titled "LankaKonect" on 15 June 2026, aimed at strengthening protection mechanisms and improving access to support services for Sri Lankan migrant workers worldwide.

The launch took place at a ceremony in Colombo, under the patronage of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijith Herath.
