Sri Lanka, Aug. 20 -- The Lanka Salt Company has announced a reduction in the prices of iodized Lak salt, effective from next week, its chairman confirmed today (20).

Accordingly, the price of a 400g packet of iodized salt powder has been reduced by Rs. 20, while the price of a 1kg packet of salt powder has been reduced by Rs. 30. With the revision, a 400g packet of salt powder will now be sold at Rs. 100, a 1kg packet of salt powder at Rs. 200, and a 1kg packet of salt cubes at Rs. 150.

In addition, the chairman noted that a 400g packet of salt powder can be purchased from Lanka Sathosa outlets for Rs. 90.
