Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued landslide warnings for parts of the Central Province, effective for 24 hours until 6:00 AM tomorrow (14).

Residents in the following areas are urged to remain vigilant:

Nuwara Eliya District (Level 2 - Amber/Be Alert): Walapane and Nildandahinna Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

Kandy District (Level 1 - Yellow/Be Cautious): Pathahewaheta Divisional Secretariat Division.

The NBRO advises those in hilly or landslide-prone areas to monitor for signs of slope instability, such as sudden cracks in the ground, tilting trees/poles, or the sudden appearance of springs.
