Sri Lanka, March 4 -- The passenger ferry service between Kankesanthurai (KKS) and Nagapattinam, India is scheduled to resume operations on Friday 06, restoring a key maritime link between Northern Sri Lanka and South India.Travel Guides & Travelogues
The service, operated by Shubham Shipping Corporation, will function on all days except Tuesdays, according to officials. The vessel deployed for the route is the passenger ship Shiva Gangai, which had previously operated the service. Another ship is also expected to be used in the near future.
The ferry service was suspended last year due to adverse weather conditions. Authorities at the time cited safety concerns for the temporary halt.
