Sri Lanka, May 28 -- A man from Kalutara South was killed in a shooting carried out by unidentified gunmen early this morning (28), Police said.

The victim was travelling on a motorcycle in the Wettumakade area when a group arriving in a car allegedly opened fire at him. He sustained critical injuries and later died after being admitted to Nagoda Hospital.

Kalutara Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
