Sri Lanka, Aug. 14 -- Ranuk Jayasuriya, son of former Sri Lanka skipper Sanath Jayasuriya, scored his first century for SSC, making 116 off 159 balls, including 16 fours and 2 sixes. He shared a 179-run fifth-wicket partnership with Kenul de Soyza, who remained unbeaten on 152 with 17 fours and 5 sixes, helping SSC reach 362/6 declared against Kurunegala YCC in their drawn Under-23 Inter Club match at CCC Grounds yesterday.
Kurunegala YCC scored 273, led by Rashmika Madushanka's 123. SSC had been struggling at 46/4 at one stage, but the 18-year-old Jayasuriya and de Soyza's partnership turned the game in their favour. At close, Kurunegala YCC were 110/6.
