Sri Lanka, Aug. 11 -- The textile and apparel industry remains Sri Lanka's globally recognised export-oriented manufacturing sector, which emphasises quality, ethical structures, skilled craftsmanship, reliability and sustainable business practices.

We need to focus on textile sourcing as a vital aspect. We will attract a larger export quota by bringing together global sourcing, advanced manufacturing technologies and business collaboration, while maintaining export competitiveness by adapting innovations, stated Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Sunil Handunnetti at the Intex Inmac Sri Lanka 2026, which is South Asia's premier international textile sourcing and garment machinery show.
