Sri Lanka, Aug. 7 -- The Department of Management Audit has launched a series of awareness programmes aimed at strengthening the role of internal audit in enhancing public financial management and improving transparency, accountability and efficiency across the public sector.

The first phase of the programme was held on Wednesday (5) at the new auditorium of the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, bringing together Chief Internal Auditors and Internal Auditors representing all Ministries and Government Departments.
