Sri Lanka, Nov. 1 -- Prime Minister and Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said the Indian government is collaborating with Sri Lanka to provide training for teachers.

She emphasised that the ongoing educational reforms will create special opportunities for creative teachers. The Prime Minister made the statement yesterday after opening a multi-ethnic, trilingual school building constructed with the assistance of the Indian government in Gallelle in the Polonnaruwa district.

She expressed happiness as for the first time in history, Sri Lankans are collectively moving toward a national goal while safeguarding their diversity and shared culture.
