Sri Lanka, July 15 -- A young couple allegedly involved in trafficking crystal methamphetamine (Ice) was arrested in Polonnaruwa after police recovered 500 grams of heroin and 150 grams of Ice, with an estimated street value of nearly Rs. 30 million, from a hidden compartment inside a rented vehicle.
The haul was discovered during a search conducted by officers of the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Polonnaruwa Police with the assistance of a police sniffer dog.
