Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- The Meteorology Department stated that the prevailing heavy rainy conditions affecting the country are gradually decreasing as the low-pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengal continues to move away from Sri Lanka.
However, several spells of showers are expected tonight in the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in the Trincomalee District. Showers may also occur in the coastal areas of the Kalutara, Galle and Matara Districts during the morning hours.
