Sri Lanka, March 3 -- The Government Medical Officers Association, the Government Nursing Officers Association, and the Health Professionals' Association, along with 30 health service trade unions, recently merged under the name of the Health Service Professional Union Alliance.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by trade union officials of each union.
Secretary, Government Medical Officers' Association Prabhath Sugathadasa said the free health service in Sri Lanka is currently maintained amidst many problems and added that although these problems are being discussed continuously, solutions are being provided very slowly.South Asians & Diaspora
