Sri Lanka, April 9 -- Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa says the discussion scheduled for today (09) with the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) will not be held, stating that the union inconvenienced patients by resorting to strike action despite being granted an opportunity for discussion.

The GMOA launched a 48-hour island-wide token strike at 8.00 a.m. today (09).
