Sri Lanka, May 7 -- Opposition MP Dr. Harsha de Silva has dismissed rumors claiming that he is preparing to join the government, stating that such reports are "completely untrue."

Issuing a statement, de Silva said his political approach is based on acknowledging both positive and negative actions regardless of political divisions, describing it as a form of "new politics."

He noted that some individuals have attempted to misinterpret his conduct as Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance (COPF), particularly his engagement on economic and governance matters.
